A Day of Happy Surprises:)

Yesterday my grandma Rosalie came to visit me.  She hadn't seen my new home yet, and it was nice to show her all my little projects and just spend some time with her, just the two of us. We haven't done that in a long time. She brought me all kinds of goodies; thread, quilt patterns, an apron and a bunch of other neat stuff. I love getting goody bags! We went to lunch and went shopping in downtown Sacramento. She just had a hip replacement and a pretty scary recovery so I was glad that she was able to get around really well. We had a lot of fun. Grandma's beauty never ceases to amaze me. She is such an elegant woman and I don't think she will ever look old to me.
When we went to the mall she bought me a bracelet that I just LOVE. I don't know what I'll wear it with, but it's so pretty I might just go get an outfit to match it:)

While my grandma was here I got a knock on the door. It was our KitchenAid mixer!!!! Remember how we got a blue one shipped instead of the yellow? Well, they got the yellow one to us in like three days! I was so excited. I just love it. Matt was even more excited than me!

After Grandma left I took up my double pointed needles again and started knitting. Matt made a delicious dinner and we spent the whole evening watching The Office. I don't know why, but we've just never watched that show before. I saw one episode and I was hooked. Now we have all the seasons and we're on season 2! It's so hilarious! I can't get over Dwight. He is such a crack up:)
